Clinical Laboratory of New York

The Clinical Laboratory of New York (CLNY) is a joint venture alliance between Northwell Health and NYC Health + Hospitals, established to integrate and streamline laboratory services across the two largest health systems in New York. Formed in 2014, the alliance operates a state-of-the-art, 36,000-square-foot centralized microbiology and reference laboratory in Little Neck, Queens, which opened in 2019. As the largest nonprofit, hospital-operated lab in the United States, CLNY provides high-volume diagnostic testing, including molecular diagnostics and microbiology, for millions of patients. The facility is administered by Northwell Health Labs and utilizes advanced robotic automation to enhance efficiency and reduce costs for its partner organizations.
