Clinical Research Malaysia (CRM) was established in 2012 by the Ministry of Health Malaysia as a government-owned, not-for-profit organization to facilitate and enable industry-sponsored clinical research in Malaysia. It provides end-to-end support for global and local sponsors conducting clinical trials in the country, aiming to make Malaysia a preferred hub for high-quality, efficient clinical research. CRM holds ISO 9001 and ISO 37001 certifications and operates under strict ethical codes. The company does not have its own drug development pipeline or proprietary therapies. Its main achievements are enabling hundreds of industry-sponsored studies across diverse therapeutic areas by providing site management, feasibility studies, regulatory support, budget management, contract negotiation/endorsement services. Recent activities include expanding capabilities to serve international biotech entities seeking to conduct trials in Malaysia.
