Clinical Trial Research Center in Uganda

The Joint Clinical Research Centre (JCRC) is a prominent center of excellence in medical research and healthcare based in Uganda, established in 1991 to address the HIV/AIDS epidemic. It operates as a specialized clinical research organization (CRO) and healthcare provider, conducting high-impact clinical trials (Phase I-IV) in collaboration with international partners like the NIH, ACTG, and various pharmaceutical companies. JCRC is renowned for its pioneering work in antiretroviral therapy (ART) in Africa and currently focuses on diverse therapeutic areas including HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, and emerging infectious diseases.
