Clintec Nutrition

Clintec Nutrition was a prominent global joint venture between Baxter International and Nestlé, established in 1988 to specialize in clinical nutrition. The company provided a comprehensive range of enteral and parenteral nutrition products designed for patients who could not maintain adequate nourishment through a standard diet. Its portfolio included well-known brands such as Clinimix for intravenous feeding and Peptamen for tube feeding, catering to critical care, oncology, and pediatric patients. The partnership leveraged Baxter's expertise in delivery systems and Nestlé's research in nutritional science. In 1996, the joint venture was dissolved, with Nestlé acquiring the enteral nutrition business and Baxter retaining the parenteral nutrition operations.
