Clover Fonterra Ingredients

Clover Fonterra Ingredients (CFI) was a joint venture between Australia's Clover Corporation and New Zealand's Fonterra, focused on the global supply of nutritional lipid ingredients. The company specialized in microencapsulation technology, which allowed for the stable incorporation of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and other omega-3 fatty acids into infant formula and functional foods. CFI served as the primary marketing and sales arm for Clover's Nu-Mega brand of tuna oils and encapsulated powders. The joint venture was dissolved in late 2013, after which Clover Corporation internalised its sales and marketing operations to engage more directly with its global customer base.
