CNRS Innovation

CNRS Innovation is the national technology transfer and commercialization subsidiary of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS). It protects inventions, manages intellectual property, supports prématuration of research projects, structures startup creation through programs such as RISE, and transfers CNRS-origin technologies to industry through licenses and partnerships. The organization works across multiple sectors, including health, biotech, medtech, digital, energy, materials, and deeptech, rather than operating as a single-product therapeutic developer. For healthcare and life sciences, its role is primarily to identify, protect, mature, and commercialize innovations emerging from CNRS laboratories. It is therefore best understood as a technology transfer and innovation platform with exposure to life sciences rather than a standalone biotech company with a conventional drug pipeline.
