Coastal Carolina Heart was a healthcare services company based in Wilmington, North Carolina, that specialized in the management and operation of cardiac catheterization laboratories. Established as a joint venture between MedCath Corporation and local physicians, the company provided clinical expertise and administrative oversight for cardiovascular procedures at regional facilities. In May 2011, New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC) acquired the remaining interests in the company to fully integrate its heart and vascular services into the hospital's physician group. The entity played a key role in coordinating specialized cardiac care and cath lab operations in the coastal North Carolina region.
