Company intelligence / Profile preview
Cobalt Light Systems developed and commercialized innovative Raman spectroscopy instruments for non-invasive, through-barrier chemical analysis. Their products were widely used in pharmaceutical quality control (RapID, TRS100), airport security (Insight100/Insight 200M liquid scanners), and hazardous material identification (Resolve). The company was acquired by Agilent Technologies in 2017 and subsequently dissolved in 2019, with Agilent establishing its global center for Raman spectroscopy at Cobalt's former Oxford location.
