Code Corporation is a medical technology and data-capture company that develops barcode scanning hardware, scan engines, and software used heavily in healthcare workflows. The company is best known for image-based barcode readers and mobile/software decoding products that support patient identification, medication administration, specimen tracking, pharmacy, laboratory, and broader track-and-trace applications. Although not a drug-development biotech or pharma company, it is clearly healthcare-related because a substantial portion of its business serves hospitals and clinical care settings. Code was acquired by Brady Corporation in June 2021 for approximately $173 million and continues to operate as the Code brand within Brady.
