Cogent Healthcare was a leading provider of hospitalist and intensivist services in the United States, specializing in the management of inpatient care programs for hospitals. In 2011, Cogent Healthcare merged with Hospitalists Management Group (HMG) to form Cogent HMG, creating one of the largest private hospitalist companies in the country.
