Colitis Foundation IBD Ventures

IBD Ventures is the venture philanthropy arm of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, dedicated to accelerating the development of products that improve the lives of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The program provides strategic funding and resources to companies and academic investigators to advance promising new treatments, diagnostics, and medical devices. By bridging the gap between early-stage research and clinical development, IBD Ventures aims to de-risk innovative projects and attract additional investment into the IBD space. The fund operates on a recycled model where any returns from successful investments are reinvested into future IBD research and development. Since its launch in 2017, it has supported a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from microbiome-based therapies to advanced surgical tools.
