CoLucid Pharmaceuticals

CoLucid Pharmaceuticals was a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to developing a new class of therapies for the acute treatment of migraine. The company's primary asset was lasmiditan, a first-in-class, selective serotonin 5-HT1F receptor agonist designed to provide pain relief without the vasoconstrictive side effects common in traditional triptan therapies. Originally spun out of Eli Lilly in 2005, CoLucid successfully advanced lasmiditan through pivotal Phase 3 clinical trials. In 2017, Eli Lilly re-acquired the company for approximately $960 million to bring the therapy back into its pain management portfolio. Lasmiditan subsequently received FDA approval in 2019 and is currently marketed under the brand name Reyvow.
