Company intelligence / Profile preview
Columbia Winery is a historic Washington state winery founded in 1962 by a group of ten friends, including six University of Washington professors. Originally established as Associated Vintners, it was the first winery in Washington to produce premium varietal wines such as Syrah, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Gris. The company is recognized for its pioneering role in the Pacific Northwest wine industry and its focus on high-quality viticulture in the Columbia Valley. After being owned by E. & J. Gallo Winery for over a decade, it was acquired by Ackley Brands in April 2024.
