Community Health Center Association of New York

The Community Health Care Association of New York State (CHCANYS) is the designated Primary Care Association for New York, representing over 70 Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs). These health centers operate more than 800 clinical sites across the state, providing comprehensive primary care to millions of residents regardless of their insurance status. CHCANYS provides critical support through legislative advocacy, clinical quality improvement initiatives, and technical assistance for health information technology. The organization also leads workforce development and emergency management coordination for the state's community health network. By serving as a unified voice, CHCANYS helps shape healthcare policy and ensures the long-term sustainability of the safety-net provider system.
