Community Research Initiative of New England (CRI) is an independent, non-profit community-based organization dedicated to HIV and hepatitis C clinical research, treatment education, and medication access. Founded in 1989, CRI conducts Phase 1 through Phase 4 clinical trials to evaluate new treatments and strategies for infectious diseases, bridging the gap between academic research and community care. The organization also administers the Massachusetts HIV Drug Assistance Program (HDAP) and the Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Drug Assistance Program (PrEPDAP), providing a critical safety net for individuals seeking life-saving medications.
