Companions for Heroes

Companions for Heroes (C4H) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing service, companion, and skilled-companion animals to active-duty military personnel, veterans, and first responders. The organization specifically targets individuals suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and other service-related psychological challenges. By rescuing shelter animals and pairing them with heroes, C4H utilizes animal-assisted therapy to improve mental health outcomes and reduce suicide rates among the veteran community. The program includes animal selection, training support, and ongoing follow-up to ensure successful human-animal bonds.
