COMPASS Pathways

Compass Pathways has completed the largest randomized, controlled, double-blind clinical trial of psilocybin therapy to date. In its phase IIb study for treatment-resistant depression, a single dose of its investigational synthetic psilocybin formulation (COMP360), combined with psychological support, led to statistically significant and clinically meaningful reductions in depressive symptoms at three weeks post-treatment. The antidepressant effect was rapid and durable for up to twelve weeks in some patients. A follow-up observational study showed that these effects could last even longer in certain subgroups. The company has initiated phase III trials for TRD and continues phase II studies in PTSD and anorexia nervosa[6][9].
