Compliment Corporation is a Seattle-based biotechnology company developing a novel class of checkpoint inhibitors targeting the complement system to enhance cancer immunotherapy. The company's lead technology, Ad35K++, is an engineered protein designed to disable CD46, a complement-inhibitory protein frequently overexpressed on tumor cells. By blocking CD46, Compliment's therapeutics aim to sensitize tumors to the anti-tumor effects of monoclonal antibodies such as Rituxan and Herceptin. Pre-clinical studies in non-human primates have demonstrated that the combination of Ad35K++ with standard therapies can significantly improve efficacy in both hematologic and solid tumors.
