Adnexus, originally founded as Compound Therapeutics, is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery and development of a new class of targeted biologics called Adnectins. Adnectins are based on the human tenth fibronectin type III domain and are designed to offer the specificity of antibodies with the manufacturing and delivery advantages of small molecules. The company utilizes its proprietary PROfusion protein design engine to rapidly screen and optimize these therapeutic candidates. In 2007, the company was acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb, where its technology continues to serve as a key biologics platform for various therapeutic areas including oncology and cardiovascular disease.
