The company was a leader in the development of enterprise performance management (EPM) software, providing organizations with tools for financial planning, budgeting, and management reporting. While Comshare served a broad range of industries, it maintained a significant presence in the healthcare sector through its Comshare MPC (Management Planning and Control) for Healthcare solution. The company was publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol CSRE until its acquisition by Geac Computer Corporation in 2003 for approximately $52 million. Following the acquisition, its technology was integrated into Geac's offerings and eventually became part of Infor's enterprise software suite.
