Concentra Preferred Systems (CPS) was a prominent healthcare cost management company that provided Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network access and bill review services. As a subsidiary of Concentra Inc., it focused on helping insurance payers and employers manage medical costs through out-of-network claims processing and national provider networks. The company utilized proprietary technology-based bill management systems to review inpatient, outpatient, and physician claims. In 2006, the business unit was acquired by MultiPlan for approximately $430 million, significantly expanding MultiPlan's reach in the healthcare value chain. Following the acquisition, CPS was rebranded as Viant and subsequently integrated into MultiPlan's broader suite of cost-containment and payment integrity solutions.
