Concurrent Pharmaceuticals

Concurrent Pharmaceuticals (later renamed Arisaph Pharmaceuticals) was a biotechnology company based in the Boston area that specialized in the discovery and development of small molecule therapeutics for metabolic and cardiovascular diseases. The company utilized its proprietary "Concurrent Discovery" platform, which was designed to simultaneously optimize multiple pharmacological and drug-like properties of lead compounds to improve the efficiency of the drug development process. Its pipeline featured several clinical and pre-clinical candidates, including ARI-3037MO, a niacin receptor agonist for dyslipidemia, and various inhibitors targeting the prolyl peptidase family for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and cancer. Although the company made significant strides in its metabolic programs, it has since become inactive.
