Conejo Valley Biotechnology Incubator

The Conejo Valley Biotechnology Incubator (CVBI) was a non-profit organization based in Thousand Oaks, California, dedicated to supporting the regional life sciences ecosystem. Founded in 2014, the incubator aimed to provide early-stage biotechnology startups with affordable wet lab space, shared scientific equipment, and professional mentorship. The initiative was a collaborative effort involving the City of Thousand Oaks, California Lutheran University, and local industry leaders to foster innovation near major hubs like Amgen. CVBI served as a central point for networking and advocacy, helping to retain scientific talent within the Conejo Valley. The organization was officially dissolved in late 2018, with many of its community-building functions transitioning to the BioScience Alliance.
