Connecticut EMS Councils

The Connecticut Regional EMS Councils are a network of five non-profit organizations mandated by state statute to coordinate and improve emergency medical services across Connecticut. These councils—North Central, East, Northwest, Southwest, and South Central—provide regional oversight, medical control coordination, and professional training for EMS providers. They work closely with the Connecticut Department of Public Health to develop clinical protocols and ensure the delivery of high-quality pre-hospital care. By facilitating communication between hospitals, EMS agencies, and government bodies, the councils play a vital role in the state's emergency healthcare infrastructure.
