Consort Medical is a leading global contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) specializing in drug delivery technologies and pharmaceutical services. The company operates through two primary divisions: Bespak, which focuses on respiratory drug delivery devices such as inhalers and auto-injectors, and Aesica, which provides finished dose manufacturing and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) development. Consort Medical is recognized for its end-to-end capabilities, supporting clients from early-stage design through to high-volume commercial production. Its proprietary platforms, including the Syrina auto-injector and Vapoursoft technology, address the growing demand for complex drug-device combination products. In February 2020, Consort Medical was acquired by the Swedish CDMO Recipharm for approximately £505 million, integrating its expertise into Recipharm's global healthcare manufacturing network.
