Company intelligence / Profile preview
Consorzio per la Ricerca Oncologica (also known as Consorzio per la ricerca oncologica lombarda sul territorio or CROLT) is an Italian clinical research consortium established within the Lombardy Oncology Network (Rete Oncologica Lombarda). Led by prominent oncologists such as Dr. Luca Gianni, the consortium was formed to connect oncological healthcare and research facilities across the Lombardy region to design, plan, and conduct Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials. Its research portfolio has primarily focused on breast cancer, evaluating therapeutic combinations involving monoclonal antibodies and small molecules. Notable clinical programs include the CRLOT/01 study investigating trastuzumab combined with vinorelbine in HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer patients with cardiovascular disease, and the CRLOT/02 study evaluating lapatinib and metformin in hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer.
