Constant Therapeutics (formerly Constant Pharmaceuticals) is a private, clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing Mas receptor agonists that activate the alternative renin-angiotensin system, led by the peptide TXA127 (pharmaceutical formulation of angiotensin (1-7)).[3][5][6] TXA127 is in Phase 2 clinical trials for ischemic stroke recovery and Duchenne muscular dystrophy-associated cardiomyopathy, and is also in development or has been investigated for dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, COVID-19, and other rare neuromuscular and fibrotic diseases.[3][4][5][6] Orphan Drug Designations have been granted in the US and EU for several rare indications including Duchenne muscular dystrophy, limb-girdle muscular dystrophy, and epidermolysis bullosa.[3]
