Company intelligence / Profile preview
Constellation Alpha Capital was a publicly traded special purpose acquisition company formed to pursue a business combination in healthcare services and manufacturing, with an initial geographic focus on India. The company completed its IPO in June 2017 on Nasdaq and was led by founder Rajiv Sarman Shukla. In May 2019, it announced a merger with DermTech, a molecular genomics and dermatology diagnostics company, and the business combination closed on August 29, 2019. Immediately following the closing, Constellation changed its name to DermTech, Inc., so Constellation Alpha Capital no longer operates as an independent company. It was not itself a drug-development biotech company and did not maintain an internal therapeutic pipeline.
