Convergence Chemical

Convergence Chemicals was an Indian specialty fluorochemicals manufacturing company that supplied starting materials used in Piramal Pharma's anesthetics business. Incorporated in 2014, the company operated as a private subsidiary/joint venture structure involving Piramal Pharma and Navin Fluorine before Piramal increased its ownership to 100% in 2020. The business was not a drug developer and did not appear to run a therapeutic pipeline; instead, it focused on manufacturing specialty fluorochemical intermediates for pharmaceutical production. In 2022, Convergence Chemicals was amalgamated into Piramal Pharma Limited as part of a composite scheme of arrangement. The entity therefore appears to be a former operating company rather than a currently standalone active business.
