Convoy Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company specializing in a proprietary peptide-based skin delivery platform. The company's core technology, the Convoy platform, utilized a unique class of skin-penetrating peptides to facilitate the topical administration of drugs that are otherwise unable to penetrate the skin barrier. This approach was designed to enable localized treatment of dermatological and aesthetic conditions while minimizing systemic absorption and associated side effects. Convoy's assets were primarily focused on the development of topical formulations for Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors. In October 2017, the company was acquired by Aclaris Therapeutics, which integrated the Convoy technology into its dermatology pipeline.
