Company intelligence / Profile preview
Cook Pharmica was a U.S.-based biologics-focused contract development and manufacturing organization serving biopharmaceutical companies. The company provided integrated development and manufacturing services spanning mammalian cell culture drug substance production, analytical and formulation development, parenteral drug product manufacturing, lyophilization, and secondary packaging. Founded in 2004 in Bloomington, Indiana, it operated a large single-site campus built around a "One Source, One Location" service model for clinical and commercial supply. Cook Pharmica was acquired by Catalent in October 2017 for approximately $950 million, after which the business became part of Catalent Bloomington. It was a services company rather than a therapeutic drug developer, so it did not maintain a conventional proprietary clinical pipeline.
