Coopharma

Coopharma, officially known as Cooperativa de Farmacias Puertorriqueñas, is the largest cooperative of independent community pharmacies in Puerto Rico. Established in 1986, the organization provides its network of over 600 member pharmacies with centralized purchasing power, marketing strategies, and administrative resources. By leveraging collective bargaining, Coopharma enables local pharmacies to compete effectively against large multinational chains while maintaining personalized patient care. The cooperative also manages a distribution center and offers a line of private-label over-the-counter products to its members.
