Company intelligence / Profile preview
Coquí RadioPharmaceuticals is developing a U.S.-based medical isotope production facility intended to be the first domestic commercial supplier of molybdenum-99 (Mo-99), the parent isotope of technetium-99m used in approximately 20 million diagnostic procedures annually in the U.S.[1][3][5][6] The project centers on a low-enriched uranium open-pool reactor design with two materials test reactors and associated processing and waste facilities, aiming to provide a reliable, non–high-enriched-uranium source of Mo-99 for nuclear medicine once operational.[1][5]
