Company intelligence / Profile preview
CorMatrix Cardiovascular develops regenerative medical devices using its proprietary extracellular matrix (ECM) technology. The company has received multiple FDA clearances for products such as the Cor Patch epicardial patch and Tyke cardiac tissue repair device. Its tricuspid ECM heart valve program has advanced into an early feasibility IDE study with expanded enrollment approved by the FDA. Over its history, more than ~160,000 devices have been implanted worldwide. In June 2017, it sold several first-to-market product lines to Aziyo Biologics but continues to develop a robust pipeline focused on unmet needs in congestive heart failure and valvular disease.
