Correctional Services Corporation (CSC) was a prominent private provider of correctional, detention, and rehabilitative services for adult and juvenile populations in the United States. Founded in 1987, the company specialized in the management of prisons, detention centers, and community-based halfway houses under contracts with federal, state, and local government agencies. A significant portion of CSC's operations involved the delivery of comprehensive healthcare services, including mental health care and substance abuse treatment, to incarcerated individuals. The company was a pioneer in the privatization of correctional services and was publicly traded on the NASDAQ under the symbol CSCQ. In 2005, Correctional Services Corporation was acquired by The GEO Group for approximately $186 million, which integrated CSC's facilities and specialized juvenile programs into GEO's global portfolio.
