Overview
Cosmederm Bioscience developed and commercialized topical dermatology products—most notably the TriCalm® line of steroid-free anti‑itch hydrogels and creams. Clinical studies demonstrated TriCalm hydrogel was significantly more effective than standard OTC agents like hydrocortisone or diphenhydramine for non-histaminergic itch. The company also owned patents on strontium-based compounds for skin care. Its main product lines included TriCalm®, Refinity™ Skin Solutions, and Cosmederm Skin Science™. In 2018 the company's IP was auctioned following bankruptcy proceedings, and its flagship TriCalm® brand was acquired by Life Wear Technologies in 2016.
