Cosmix

Cosmix GmbH was a German biotechnology company specializing in evolutionary biotechnology and the selection of peptides and proteins from large libraries. The company developed the proprietary 'Cosmix' technology, a specialized phage display variant that utilized cosmids to enable the selection of high-affinity binders for diagnostic and therapeutic applications. Founded as a spin-off from the German National Research Centre for Biotechnology (GBF), the company focused on providing platform services for drug discovery and diagnostic development. In 2004, Cosmix was acquired by Diagnostic Products Corporation (DPC) to integrate its selection technology into DPC's diagnostic assay development pipeline.
