Council on Black Health

The Council on Black Health (CBH) is a national research and action network dedicated to improving health outcomes and achieving health equity within Black communities. Originally established as the African American Collaborative Obesity Research Network (AACORN), the organization rebranded in 2018 to broaden its scope beyond obesity to encompass a wider range of health determinants. CBH facilitates collaboration between academic researchers, community partners, and policymakers to implement data-driven solutions for healthy eating, active living, and chronic disease prevention. The Council is headquartered at the Drexel University Dornsife School of Public Health and serves as a critical resource for health advocacy and community-based participatory research.
