Overview

At the time of its acquisition by Pfizer in late 2007/early 2008, CovX had three early-stage compounds—one for diabetes and two for cancer. The most advanced candidate was CVX‑045 (antiangiogenic), which entered Phase I trials for cancer. Another oncology program targeted Angiopoietin‑2 with CVX‑060. A diabetes program called CVX‑096 was expected to enter Phase I. Some programs were discontinued or remained preclinical after the acquisition; none reached commercialization before the unit's closure.
