Creative Healthcare Systems (CHS) was a healthcare information technology company that specialized in providing clinical and financial software solutions for the post-acute care industry. Founded in 1988 and based in Westerville, Ohio, the company was a pioneer in developing software for the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and Minimum Data Set (MDS) requirements. Their products were designed to help nursing homes and assisted living facilities streamline patient documentation, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage billing workflows. In February 2011, Creative Healthcare Systems was acquired by American HealthTech, a subsidiary of CPSI, for approximately $15.5 million. This acquisition allowed CPSI to expand its footprint in the long-term care market by integrating CHS's specialized software into its broader suite of healthcare IT solutions.
