Company intelligence / Profile preview
Credit Suisse was a major global bank headquartered in Zurich offering private banking & wealth management and investment banking services worldwide—not itself operating within the life sciences sector but frequently acting as an advisor on large pharma and biotech transactions through its healthcare-focused teams. It also invested indirectly via partnerships such as with the Israeli health tech fund aMoon, but it did not develop therapeutics or own clinical pipelines. In March–June 2023 it was acquired by rival Swiss bank UBS after severe financial difficulties; all operations are now fully absorbed under the parent brand with no remaining independent legal entity from July 2024 onward.
