CREPATS

CREPATS (Centre de Recherche et d'Études sur la Pathologie Tropicale et le Sida) is a French non-profit research organization and clinical trial sponsor based at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris. Founded by Professors Christine Katlama and Gilles Brücker, the association specializes in clinical research for infectious diseases, with a primary focus on HIV/AIDS and tropical medicine. CREPATS is known for sponsoring studies that evaluate simplified antiretroviral therapy (ART) regimens and maintenance strategies, such as the DORAL and MODULO trials. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization expanded its research to include epidemiological studies on SARS-CoV-2 transmission. CREPATS operates in close collaboration with the French National Agency for Research on AIDS and Viral Hepatitis (ANRS) and other academic partners.
