Cresap McCormick and Paget

Cresap, McCormick and Paget was a premier American management consulting firm founded in 1946 by Mark Cresap, Willard McCormick, and Richard Paget. During the mid-20th century, it was considered one of the leading strategy consultancies in the United States, often ranked alongside firms like McKinsey & Company and Booz Allen Hamilton. The firm provided high-level organizational and operational strategy services to a diverse range of clients, including major industrial corporations, government agencies, and non-profit institutions. In 1982, the firm was acquired by Citicorp, and it was subsequently sold to Towers Perrin in 1990. Following its acquisition by Towers Perrin, the Cresap brand was eventually phased out as its operations were integrated into the parent company's consulting business. The firm is historically significant for its role in professionalizing management consulting and its influence on post-war corporate structure.
