Company intelligence / Profile preview
Crescendo Bioscience was a U.S. molecular diagnostics company focused on autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis. Its flagship commercial product, Vectra DA, was a multi-biomarker blood test designed to provide an objective score of rheumatoid arthritis disease activity and help rheumatologists guide treatment decisions. The company also offered VectraView software and operated a CLIA-certified laboratory to process tests and return results to physicians. Founded in 2002 and originally known as Riley Genomics, Crescendo built a specialty diagnostics franchise in rheumatology before being acquired by Myriad Genetics in 2014. The company is best understood as a commercial-stage precision diagnostics business rather than a therapeutics developer.
