Critical Care Systems was a leading national provider of specialty infusion pharmacy services, specializing in the care of patients with complex chronic conditions. The company provided high-tech nursing and pharmacy services for therapies such as parenteral nutrition, intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), and hemophilia factor treatments. Operating through a network of ambulatory infusion suites and home-based care models, it focused on clinical monitoring and patient education to improve outcomes. In 2010, the company was acquired by BioScrip for approximately $190 million, significantly expanding BioScrip's footprint in the home infusion market. Its operations were eventually integrated into what is now Option Care Health following subsequent industry consolidations.
