Company intelligence / Profile preview
CritiCall Ontario is a provincially funded healthcare service organization in Ontario that provides 24/7 emergency consultation, referral, and case facilitation support for hospital-based physicians caring for urgent and emergent patients. Rather than operating as a drug-development biotech or pharma company, it functions as a health system coordination and clinical operations platform supporting access to specialized care, inter-hospital transfers, repatriation, and provincial critical care resource management. The organization also operates or supports digital infrastructure including the Critical Care Information System and Provincial Hospital Resource System. CritiCall Ontario was created in 1988, expanded province-wide in 1996, and formally transferred from Hamilton Health Sciences to Ornge on November 1, 2025. Its core mission is to help Ontario patients receive timely urgent and emergent care as close to home as possible.
