Crosscut Ventures is a private, Los Angeles-based early-stage venture capital firm that invests primarily in frontier technology companies rather than operating as a drug developer, biotech, pharma, or healthcare company. The firm was founded in 2008 and describes itself as the first and longest-enduring early-stage venture capital firm in Los Angeles. Its current investment focus centers on energy transition, decarbonization, space, defense, advanced manufacturing, robotics, and related industrial technologies. Crosscut provides capital as well as company-building support, founder development, and operational guidance to seed and Series A-stage startups.
