Company intelligence / Profile preview
Charles River Ventures (now known as CRV) was founded in 1970 to commercialize research from MIT. It has raised over $4.3 billion across 18 funds and focuses on early-stage investments primarily in technology sectors, including some bioengineering and medtech/life science startups since at least 2018. While it has invested in health IT and biotechnology companies such as Color, Freenome, Amino Health, Health IQ, and cancer immunotherapy startup 3T Biosciences, it does not itself conduct R&D or own therapeutic programs[4][7].
