Cryolab

Cryolab is an Italian biobanking and cryobiology services company focused on the storage, traceability, transport, and controlled handling of biological samples and medicinal products. Founded in 2012 as a spin-off of the School of Medicine at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, the company operates cryobiology hubs in Rome, Pavia, and Vicenza and has been part of SOL Group since 2015. Its offerings include third-party sample storage, disaster recovery services for cryobiology rooms, transport of biological samples and medicinal products, environmental monitoring and sanitization, and cell manipulation laboratories compliant with euGMP/GMP requirements. Cryolab also designs, builds, and manages cryobiology rooms and biobanks, supported by automation and supervision systems. The company serves hospitals, research institutions, fertility/IVF centers, tissue and cell banking users, and pharma/biotech customers rather than developing its own therapeutic pipeline.
