Company intelligence / Profile preview
CSS Informatics was a specialized clinical research organization (CRO) that provided clinical data management, statistical programming, and clinical reporting services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Founded in 1991, the company focused on streamlining the drug development process through technology-driven data solutions and expertise in regulatory submission requirements. In June 2006, CSS Informatics was acquired by i3, a global pharmaceutical services company and a division of UnitedHealth Group's Ingenix (now Optum). The acquisition bolstered i3's biometrics and data management capabilities, particularly in the area of late-phase clinical trials. Today, the legacy of CSS Informatics' operations is part of Syneos Health following a series of industry mergers.
